Tribeca Storyscapes is a transmedia program created in collaboration with BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® Gin to showcase work that explores new forms of storytelling, highlighting innovation across a variety of platforms.
PICNIC is a leading European platform for innovation and creativity. We function as an incubator and accelerator for game changing ideas, concepts, products and services. Through our activities, we address the mega trends of our time and explore how to creatively apply technology in order to meet business, social and environmental challenges.
Rios: International Festival of Documentary Film and Transmedia
Defined as a platform of activity for the creation and promotion of authorial projects in the field of cinema and audiovisual independents, Rios – International Festival of Documentary Film and Transmedia aims at:
1- Providing visibility, in serving as a promotional platform, to film and audiovisual work whose aesthetics approach is related to the reality of the river.
2- Serving as a working platform for deep reflection on the reality of the thematic documentary film.
3- Fostering the creation of authorial projects that promote aesthetics, in the discovery of new territories, new styles and new means of support that might define the reality of Rios (Rivers).
4- Contributing to the promotion of early works and documentaries by undergraduate students within this field.
5- Fostering the creation of inter-university partnerships within the field of cinema and audiovisual documentary.
transmediale is a Berlin-based festival and year-round project that draws out new connections between art, culture and technology. The activities of transmediale aim at fostering a critical understanding of contemporary culture and politics as saturated by media technologies. In the course of its 27 year history, the annual transmediale festival has turned into an essential event in the calendar of media art professionals, artists, activists and students from all over the world. The broad cultural appeal of the festival is recognised by the German federal government who supports the transmediale through its programme for beacons of contemporary culture.
Established in 1987, the Images Festival is the largest festival in North America for experimental and independent moving image culture, showcasing the innovative edge of international contemporary media art both on and off the screen. Images has presented thousands of vanguard media-based projects in its 26-year history and is committed to an expanded concept of film and video practice: Alongside film and video screenings (ON SCREEN), the festival presents groundbreaking live performances (LIVE IMAGES), media art installations (OFF SCREEN) in local galleries and new media projects by many renowned Canadian and international artists. TRANSMEDIA & MULTIPLATFORM CONFERENCES
These conferences are either primarily focused on transmedia & multiplatform or have sections that are focused on these areas.
An event created and organized by the Brazilian Independent TV Producers Association (ABPI-TV). In only two editions, RioContentMarket has established itself as the main stage for the audiovisual segment discussions, meetings and business in South America. In 2012, nine hundred and fifty meetings were held during the event which brought together 2,500 Brazilian and international producers from 24 countries.
Merging Media brings together thought leaders from across Europe and North America in a power packed program of presentations, plenary sessions, bespoke B2B meetings, Special Screenings, networking sessions, and their popular Pitch 360 Competition.
Doc/Fest brings the international documentary family together to celebrate the art and business of documentary filmmaking for five intense days in June. Now in its 20th year, Sheffield Doc/Fest is one of the top three documentary festivals and markets in the world. A new strand in the film programme, Crossover Docs focuses on stories of technology, digital culture and real life. Story 2023:A TRANSMEDIA STORYTELLING COMPETITION

STORY2023 is a transmedia competition in which students of Swiss Universities and Universities of Applied Sciences are invited to imagine the future by telling a story set 10 years from now.
The competition is interdisciplinary and open to all eligible students with a vision of the future, from transmedia experts to first-timers.
The Sundance Institute’s New Frontier program was created to identify and foster independent artists innovating in the art and form of storytelling at the convergence of film, art, media, live performance, music and technology. Fulfilling this mission includes providing a place for audience to view and participate in their work and building a community of collaborators across diverse disciplines to push the boundaries of story. This lab is by invitation only.
